No. Maryland and Virginia's Direct Access Law allows patients to go directly to a licensed physical therapist without a physician referral.

A review of your medical history and comprehensive musculoskeletal exam will be conducted to assist us in the determining appropriate goals and plan of care. Actual physical therapy treatment and a home exercise program will be provided as well on your first session.
